Welcome to 4th Grade!
Stay up to date with current events happening in our class!
The countdown continues! Only 8 more weeks. Here's our busy week:
Cougar's Call: Again, we will switch for targeted math groups on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings. On Wednesday and Friday students will have time to work on Wordly Wise and Spelling activities. The Wordly Wise packet and the Spelling Test will be due on Friday, May 4th. Math: In math we will continue to convert measurements. We will also cover area and perimeter. The Unit 13 study guide is due Thursday. The Unit 13 formal assessment is Friday. Please continue to encourage your child to practice converting measurements over the next few weeks until it's concrete in their brain! Literacy: We are continuing EOG prep. This week we will begin to actively read nonfiction. Integrated Studies: Monday is the formal assessment to wrap up our animal adaptations unit. On Tuesday we will start our new unit, "How the World Works." In this unit students will learn about force, motion and electricity. This is a fun unit! I may need some extra batteries for circuits, so let me know if you have lots of extras laying around at home :) HOMEWORK: -Unit 13 Math Study Guide (due 4/19) -Measurement Extra Credit (due 4/19) -Read and log in agenda ANNOUNCEMENTS: -4/16 - Science Test -4/18 - Step Up Day & Early Release Day @1:15 -4/19 - MATH MAP TESTING & Report Cards -4/23 - READING MAP TESTING -4/26 - Play 60 -4/27 - Clubs
