Hi all! Hope you all had a great week. It's hard to believe this is the last full week of school before Winter Break!
Cougar's Call: On Monday, Wednesday and Friday we will work on our December spelling. Tuesday and Thursday we will switch for math groups. Math: In math we are solving multi-step word problems. Students should be comfortable with adding, subtracting, multiplying and now dividing with multi-digit numbers. Look at the Topic 6 Math study guide and see what your child needs to practice more. Please let me know if your child needs additional practice. The Topic 6 Test will be Friday 12/15. Literacy: We are moving into reading about the American Revolution. We will start the week with close reading and pulling out who/what/when/where and how. By the end of the week, students will be able to pull out the important facts from these nonfiction texts as well as compare and contrast between two different texts. Integrated Studies: We are finishing up our studies on the phases of the moon on Monday. Tuesday-Thursday we will have independent health lessons about making healthy choices when eating and decision making. On Friday we have House Meetings.
