Welcome to 4th Grade!
Stay up to date with current events happening in our class!
Raleigh was a blast! Thank you again chaperones for coming along with us and hanging out with the kids for the day! It went by so fast! I hope your child had as fun as I did! Now we can look forward to our next half day field trip to the Bechtler Museum in a couple of weeks!
In Cougar's Call this week on Monday and Friday we will have extra science time. On Tuesday and Thursday we will begin swapping for targeted multiplication instruction. On Wednesday, Mrs. Holoman is going to come in and teach an IMIB lesson to our class. In addition to science on Friday morning, we will have our monthly spelling test on our March homophone words. In Math this week we will be practicing multiple methods of solving 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication equations and word problems. There is no way to get better at multiplication than to practice, practice practice. Please continue to encourage your child to have 1-12 multiplication facts memorized! In Literacy we will continue studying poetry elements. On Wednesday, students will take an informal quiz on poetry to check for progress. In Writing we will wrap up practicing capital cursive letters. From there, we will continue practicing putting cursive letters into writing complete sentences and paragraphs.
