Good Afternoon! Here's a look at our busy week:
Math: We are starting Topic 0 on place value. Over the week students will write numbers in expanded and written form, compare and round large numbers. On Friday, students that made below a 70% on the area/perimeter exam will have a chance to retake the test for a better grade. Literacy: Students will continue focusing on main idea and details within nonfiction. We will take a closer look at historical, scientific, and technical nonfiction. On Thursday, students will take a formal exam on main idea & details. Writing: Throughout the week students will continue using the writing process to edit, revise and publish their persuasive writing. Their final published writing is due at the end of the day Friday 12/7 for an informal writing grade. Integrated Studies: Students will take a look into colonial life in North Carolina. They will learn about the challenges of the time period and see what life was like for a person in that time. By the end of the week, students will have picked a person to use for their Footprints in History journal writing. HOMEWORK: -Footprints Project (build structure at home!) -Rael Flex Group: pg. 39-40 #1-10 -Read & log in agenda -Study December Spelling Words (aloud, annoying, around, noisy, enjoyment, frown, mountain, royal, joining, thousand) TEST 12/18 ANNOUNCEMENTS: -12/4 - The Giving Market (Info was sent in Cougar Folders) 9:05-9:35 -12/5 - Early Release Day @12 -12/7 - Hour of Code (8:15 - 9:15) **We are in great need of snacks! Please send in a box of crackers if you can!**
