Welcome to 4th Grade!
Stay up to date with current events happening in our class!
Alright, I'm finally getting back to normal after that long weekend and bonus snow days! Sorry this post is a few days late. It was great seeing Julia and Mary Sullivan at the Hornets game last night! Great work with holding the flag for the anthem :)
Cougar's Call: Monday morning we will review factors, multiples, prime and composite numbers one last time before the Unit 7 formal test. The rest of the week will be used as catch up time for vocabulary and spelling work. Wordly Wise and spelling work will be due Friday, February 2nd. Math: Testing, testing and more testing. Every day this week during our math time (12:05) we will test. Monday we will have a test on Unit 7 (this is for a formal grade). Tuesday we will take the CMS Quarter 2 Math Assessment (not for a grade). Wednesday and Thursday we will take the Math MAP and Reading MAP tests. Finally, Friday we'll take the CMS Cycle 3 Literacy Assessment (not for a grade). With the 3 snow days, we had to push everything back and unfortunately all of these tests are on a tight schedule. Let me know if you have any questions! Literacy: On Monday we will finish up the unit on reading history. We will not swap Tuesday-Thursday this week for Literacy groups. This time will be used for finishing up tests that started at 12:05. Integrated Studies: On Monday students will present their slide on North Carolina's major roles in the American Revolution. The rest of the week we will discuss the after effects of the American Revolution, such as the Bill of Rights and the similarities and differences between the US Constitution and the North Carolina constitution. On Friday, students will have their club day!
