Stay up to date with current events happening in our class!
Hi C3 Families!
Cougar's Call: On Monday we are finishing up as detectives solving the case of the lost colony of Roanoke. Tuesday and Thursday are flexible math group meeting time and Wednesday will be used to work on vocabulary and spelling practice. Math: This week we are moving into Topic 5: Division. We will heavily focus this week on understanding fact families to understand division. For example, 8x3=24 so 24 divided by 3=8. On Friday students will take a quick quiz as an informal grade to check for understanding. Literacy: We are using this week to continue researching a chosen topic. Next week students will start writing their research paper on this topic. While writing, students will need to remember the writing process in order to draft, edit, revise and publish their finished work for a grade. Integrated Studies: We are starting our Footprints in History project! Students will take the perspective of a Native American, Explorer, Pirate, or Colonist from North Carolina. Students will write journal entries from their chosen character's perspective during class time. At home, students will make a structure of the home of that person.
